About Phaselis Beach
Phaselis Beach is part of the ancient harbour city of Phaselis, an old Lycian and later Roman port set among pine trees between Kemer and Tekirova. What makes it special is the combination of clear, shallow water and history: the beaches curve around three small natural harbours, and the ruins of the old city, including an aqueduct, a main street and a theatre, sit right behind the sand.
Visitors come for that rare mix of swimming and sightseeing in one place. You can spend the morning wandering the ruins under the pines, then cool off in a calm bay where the seabed shelves gently into the turquoise Mediterranean. The setting is green and sheltered rather than a built-up resort strip, which gives the beach a quieter, more natural feel.
Because it lies inside a protected site, Phaselis stays relatively unspoilt, and many travellers treat it as a half-day trip that pairs beach time with a walk through one of the most scenic ancient sites on the coast.
The transfer route from Antalya Airport
The journey from Antalya Airport to Phaselis Beach covers roughly 70 km and takes about 62 minutes in normal traffic. Your driver leaves the airport, skirts the southern edge of Antalya and then follows the main coastal highway that runs southwest toward Kemer, Tekirova and Phaselis.
This is one of the more scenic transfers on the Antalya coast. After the city outskirts, the road hugs the shoreline where the Taurus Mountains drop almost straight into the sea, passing pine-covered slopes and glimpses of the bays below. The final stretch turns off near Tekirova toward the Phaselis site entrance.
Traffic around Antalya and through the Kemer resorts can build up at peak holiday times and on summer weekends, which may add a few minutes, but the route is straightforward and comfortable. Your driver knows the coastal road well and takes the most direct way to your address or to the site.
Vehicles, prices and what's included
We keep pricing simple and fixed per vehicle, not per person. An economy car to Phaselis Beach starts from €30 one way and comfortably carries a small group with their luggage. For larger parties or extra bags, a Vito minivan starts from €39 one way and gives more room for suitcases, beach gear and passengers.
Every booking includes a free meet and greet: your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name sign, helps with the luggage and walks you to the vehicle. We track your flight, so a normal delay is no problem and there is no extra charge for waiting within reason.
Child seats are available free of charge when you ask for them at booking. There is no prepayment required, the price is fixed in advance, and you pay the driver directly on the day in cash or by card.
Practical tips for your transfer
When you book, let us know your flight number, how many passengers are travelling and how much luggage you have, so we can send the right vehicle and have any child seats ready. If you have beach gear, a cool box or oversized items, mention them in advance so there is enough room.
Return transfers are easy to arrange at the same time as your arrival, and booking both legs together means your pick-up is already fixed for the end of your day or stay. If you are visiting Phaselis for the day rather than staying in Tekirova, we can agree a pick-up time at the site for your ride back.
The site is busiest in the middle of summer days, so an earlier start is more comfortable and the light is better. Our service runs 24/7, and nearby Tekirova and Kemer have hotels, shops and restaurants if you want to combine your beach trip with a longer stay on this stretch of coast.
The beach itself: season and what to bring
Phaselis faces sheltered bays on the Mediterranean, so it is at its best in the warm months. Late spring through early autumn brings reliable sunshine and sea temperatures that stay pleasant for swimming, while the shoulder season is cooler and quieter and pairs well with exploring the ruins without the midday heat.
The water in the bays is clear and usually calm, and parts of the shore are pebbly rather than soft sand, so water shoes are genuinely useful here. Bring sun cream, a hat, sunglasses and plenty of water, along with a towel and light beachwear. Comfortable footwear helps too, since you walk among the ruins and along uneven paths to reach the different coves.
There is limited shade beyond the pines, and facilities inside the protected site are simple, so it is worth packing snacks and anything you need for the day. With the airport about 70 km away, you can be swimming beside the ancient harbour roughly 62 minutes after landing.
