About Antalya City Center
Antalya City Center is where most first-time visitors spend their time, because so much is packed into a small, walkable area. The historic Kaleiçi quarter sits behind old Roman and Ottoman walls, with cobbled lanes, boutique hotels, cafés and the picturesque yacht harbour below the cliffs.
Just outside the old town you will find Hadrian's Gate, the clock tower, Karaalıoğlu Park with its sea views, and busy shopping streets around Atatürk Caddesi and the Işıklar district. Museums, the old bazaar and dozens of restaurants are all within easy reach.
Because it combines history, seafront and modern city life, the center suits couples, families and longer city stays as well as quick stopovers before heading to the resorts.
The transfer route from Antalya Airport
The drive from Antalya Airport to the city center is short and straightforward. Your driver leaves the terminal and joins the main airport road, then follows the multi-lane highway running west toward the city, passing the Düden area and the eastern districts on the way in.
The full distance is about 13 km and the journey normally takes around 20 minutes in light traffic. Most of the route is on smooth, modern road, so it is an easy ride even late at night or after a long flight.
Door to door, you are met inside the terminal, walked to the vehicle, and dropped directly at your hotel entrance or address in Kaleiçi, Muratpaşa or the surrounding center. Travel times can be a little longer during the morning and evening rush.
Vehicles, prices and what is included
Prices start from €13 for an economy car carrying up to about three passengers, and from €17 for a Mercedes Vito minivan that suits larger groups or families with extra luggage. Every price is per vehicle and one way, not per person, so the fare is the same whether one or several people travel.
Each transfer includes a free meet & greet, where the driver waits in arrivals with a name sign, plus flight tracking so your pickup is adjusted if your plane is early or delayed. Child seats are provided free on request.
There is no prepayment required. You pay the driver directly at the end of the trip, in cash or by card, and the per-vehicle price is fixed and agreed in advance with no hidden extras.
Practical tips for your transfer
When booking, let us know your total number of passengers and large suitcases so the right vehicle is sent; choose the Vito if you are travelling with a family or plenty of luggage. If you need child or booster seats, request them in advance and they are added at no charge.
Return transfers from your hotel back to Antalya Airport are easy to arrange at the same time; for departures the driver usually collects you a few hours before your flight, allowing for traffic and check-in.
The center is also a handy base for visiting nearby areas such as Lara, Konyaaltı beach and the Düden waterfalls, all of which can be added as extra transfers or day trips.
What to see and do in the city center
Spend your first hours wandering Kaleiçi, the old town, where narrow streets open onto the old harbour and waterfront cafés. The Yivli Minaret, Hadrian's Gate and the Hıdırlık Tower are all close together and free or inexpensive to see.
For shopping, the streets around Atatürk Caddesi and the modern centers nearby cover Turkish and international brands, while the bazaar lanes are good for spices, sweets and souvenirs. Seafront parks such as Karaalıoğlu give wide views over the Mediterranean and the Beydağları mountains.
Most sights are walkable from one another, so the city center works well for a relaxed half or full day, with plenty of family-friendly cafés and restaurants in between.
