Antalya Airport to Kumköy (Side) Transfer

Kumköy is a coastal resort area that forms the western end of the Side holiday region, in the Belek and Side part of Antalya province. It is known for its wide, gently shelving sandy beach, backed in places by pine trees, and for the many resort and family hotels that line the shore.

Most visitors come to Kumköy for an easygoing seaside holiday: long days on the beach, pool time and warm evenings out. Its great advantage is the location, just a short drive or walk from the ancient town of Side with its Roman ruins, harbour and lively centre.

Because it sits at the quieter, more residential edge of Side, Kumköy suits travellers who want sea, sand and a calmer base, while still being close to restaurants, shops and historic sights when they feel like exploring.

The journey from Antalya Airport to Kumköy (Side) heads east along the coast, away from Antalya city. After leaving the terminal your driver follows the main highway that runs toward Serik, Belek and the Side region.

Covering about 62 km, the ride normally takes around 58 minutes. Most of the route is modern dual carriageway, passing farmland, pine areas and resort turnoffs rather than winding mountain roads, so it is a smooth and comfortable drive.

Door to door, you can expect to reach your hotel a little under an hour after clearing the baggage hall. As this is a private transfer, the car goes directly to your address with no detours to drop off other passengers, which is especially welcome after a long flight or when travelling with children.

There is no prepayment required. You simply pay the driver at the end of the journey in cash or by card, and the price is fixed per vehicle rather than per person.

Keep water and any essentials in your hand luggage for the roughly hour-long ride, especially in the summer heat. If you are travelling with a pushchair or several suitcases, the Vito gives you more room to spread out in comfort.

Return transfers back to the airport are easy to arrange at the same fixed price; we simply agree a pickup time at your hotel that allows comfortably for the journey and check-in. For early or late flights, a private car is far more reliable than waiting for shared shuttles.

Kumköy is a handy base for the wider Side region, with neighbouring resorts, the ancient city and nearby beaches all within a short drive, so it works well for combining relaxation with a few day trips.

Kumköy is first and foremost a beach destination. The long sandy beach is the main draw, with gentle, shallow water that suits families, and a string of beach hotels and clubs along the front. The main season runs from late spring through early autumn, when the weather is reliably warm and sunny.

For a beach day, bring sun protection, water and beachwear; sunbeds and parasols are commonly available along the resort stretches. Mornings and late afternoons are the most comfortable times in high summer.

Just to the east lies the ancient town of Side, easily reached from Kumköy. Its peninsula is dotted with Roman remains, including the well-known temple ruins by the sea and an ancient theatre, alongside a harbour, shops and restaurants, making it an easy and rewarding half-day outing from your hotel.
