Antalya Archaeological Museum (Antalya Arkeoloji Müzesi) is a large museum that traces the history of the ancient Pamphylia and Lycia regions through its halls of statuary, mosaics, sarcophagi and everyday objects. Many of its finest pieces come from nearby Perge, including the celebrated gallery of Roman gods and emperors carved in marble.

The collection runs from prehistory through the Greek, Roman and Byzantine periods, with rooms dedicated to coins, icons and ethnographic items as well. It is arranged so visitors can move chronologically and see how the region changed across many centuries.

Because it is entirely indoors and air-conditioned, it makes a comfortable visit on a hot day and a reliable choice when the weather turns. It sits close to the Konyaaltı seafront and the tram line, so it pairs easily with the beach and the old town.

Antalya Airport lies on the eastern side of the city while the museum sits to the west near Konyaaltı, so your route crosses the southern edge of Antalya.
