Sandland Sand Sculpture Museum (Kum Heykel Müzesi) is an open-air exhibition where artists shape tonnes of sand into large sculptures, from mythological figures and famous landmarks to film and fairy-tale characters. The works are surprisingly tall and detailed, and walking among them gives a real sense of scale that photographs rarely capture.

Sandland is an open-air park, so sun protection matters: a hat, sunscreen and water make the midday visit far more comfortable, and the cooler late afternoon or evening is often the most pleasant time. Comfortable shoes help, as you walk on sandy, mostly flat ground between the displays.

If you are visiting on the way to or from your hotel, ask the driver to drop you at the entrance and store your luggage for check-in later, or book the return leg at the same time. For the trip back, give your pickup address and flight number, and the driver allows enough margin for check-in.
