The Tünektepe Cable Car (Tünektepe Teleferik) runs from a lower station on the Sarısu side of the Konyaaltı coast up to the summit of Tünektepe, a hill that rises above the western end of Antalya. The ride climbs steadily over pine slopes, and the cabins give a wide view of the shoreline and the Gulf of Antalya as you go.

Antalya Airport sits on the eastern side of the city while Tünektepe rises at the far western end of the Konyaaltı coast, so your route runs right across the southern edge of Antalya. The drive follows main roads and the coastal corridor, with the city on one side and glimpses of the sea and mountains on the other.

The distance is about 28 km and the usual private-transfer time is around 32 minutes. In heavy summer traffic or at busy airport hours it can take a little longer, but the roads are good and direct for nearly the whole way, with the final stretch climbing gently toward the lower cable-car station.

Two vehicle types serve this route. An economy car costs from €17 one way and suits a couple or small family with normal luggage. A Vito minivan costs from €22 one way and gives more room for larger groups, extra suitcases or travel gear.

Prices are per vehicle rather than per person, and they are fixed for the journey, so the figure quoted is the figure you pay no matter how many seats are filled. No prepayment is needed; you settle directly with the driver in cash or by card at the time of travel.

Every booking includes a free meet and greet with a name sign at arrivals, flight tracking so the driver adjusts to delays or early landings, and free child seats on request. The service runs around the clock, so late-night and very early flights are covered.

The summit sits well above the coast, so it is usually cooler and breezier than the beach below; a light jacket is handy even on warm days, especially toward sunset. Comfortable shoes make the terrace and viewpoints easier to enjoy.

If you are visiting the cable car as a day trip, you can ask the driver to wait or arrange a return pickup, and if you are flying home later you can book the airport leg at the same time. Just give your pickup address and flight number, and the driver allows enough margin for check-in and the drive back.

Late morning and early afternoon are the calmest times on the road, while clear evenings are the most rewarding at the top. Tünektepe sits close to Konyaaltı Beach, the Sarısu area and the western edge of the city, so it pairs easily with a beach stop or a visit to central Antalya.
