Gazipasa-Alanya Airport lies on the Mediterranean coast in the Gazipasa district of Antalya Province, at the far eastern edge of the region. It is around 40 km southeast of Alanya city centre, with the drive following the scenic coastal highway between the Taurus Mountains and the sea.

The airport's full name, Gazipasa-Alanya, reflects its role as Alanya's local gateway, even though it physically sits beyond the town in a quieter rural area of banana plantations and small villages. Opened to commercial traffic in 2011, it remains a compact, single-terminal airport.

Many Alanya visitors weigh a cheaper or more convenient Antalya flight against a longer transfer, versus a pricier or rarer Gazipasa flight with a short hop afterwards.
