Karain Cave (Karain Mağarası) sits on the slopes of the Taurus mountains near Yağca village, about 27 to 30 km northwest of Antalya. There is little in the way of shops or cafes right at the cave, so bring water and a snack, especially in the hot summer months. The walk up to the entrance involves a short climb on a rough path, so it is best done in comfortable footwear. Karain Cave sits in a rural area away from the main resorts, so public transport and shared shuttles are limited and often involve long waits or changes. A street taxi can be hard to find for the return leg once you are out at the cave, and meters can run up an unpredictable fare on a rural route like this.
