Köprülü Canyon (Köprülü Kanyon National Park) is a protected gorge in the Taurus foothills behind Belek and Side, carved over thousands of years by the Köprüçay River. The water here stays cool and clear all summer, fed from the mountains, and the canyon is shaded by dense pine and cedar forest.

The rafting route follows the river past the old Roman bridges that give the canyon its name, including the graceful stone Oluk Bridge arching high over the gorge. Along the banks you will spot rocky cliffs, shallow turquoise pools and quiet wooded stretches where the only sound is the water.

Above the canyon, on the slopes near Altınkaya village, lie the ruins of the ancient city of Selge, with its hillside theatre and scattered Roman remains. If you wish, your private driver can add a short stop there, since you control the plan and are not tied to a group schedule.

Bring a swimsuit, a towel, a change of clothes and shoes that can get wet, plus sunscreen and a little cash for lunch and the activity. Leave phones and cameras with the driver or use a waterproof case, as everything in the raft gets splashed. Even in high summer the river water is cold, which is part of the appeal on a hot day.
