Konaklı is a friendly seaside resort just west of Alanya city, set where the Taurus foothills run down to the Mediterranean. Visitors come to Konaklı mainly for an easy, value-focused beach holiday. The long shoreline, the small marina and the simple seafront make it a pleasant base for families and couples who want sun and sea without a hectic resort scene. Supermarkets, cafés, a weekly market and everyday shops cover the basics within walking distance.

Konaklı also works well as a base for exploring the wider area. Alanya, with its harbour, castle and old town, is only a short drive east, while resorts such as Avsallar and the beaches around İncekum lie just to the west, making day trips along the coast straightforward.

The drive from Antalya Airport to Konaklı covers about 115 km and takes roughly 85 minutes in normal traffic. After leaving the terminal, your driver joins the main coastal highway heading east towards Serik, Manavgat and Alanya, a well-maintained dual carriageway that carries most of the region's traffic.

Much of the journey runs close to the Mediterranean, with the Taurus Mountains rising inland to the north and stretches of pine forest, citrus and banana groves and open sea views along the way. Konaklı lies just before Alanya itself, so the highway brings you almost all the way before turning off to your specific hotel or apartment.

The beach is the heart of a holiday in Konaklı. The long shoreline runs for several kilometres along the resort, with a mix of sand and fine shingle in different spots and water that is usually clear and calm, making it comfortable for swimming and easy days by the sea.

The main beach season runs roughly from late spring through to autumn, when the Mediterranean is warm and the days are reliably sunny. High summer brings the hottest, busiest weather, while late spring and early autumn are quieter and still very pleasant for swimming and sunbathing.

For a beach day it helps to bring sun protection, water and beach shoes, which are especially useful on the more pebbly stretches. Many sections have sunbeds, cafés and water-sports nearby, and the small harbour adds a relaxed seaside feel. Arriving rested after a smooth door-to-door transfer means you can head straight for the sea.
